A two meat sandwich is about ratio, and the home version lets you set it exactly: equal turkey and ham, folded rather than stacked.
The sub
Salad and finish
A standard meal deal build: this plus a side and a drink is the archetypal Subway lunch.
The Subway Turkey & Ham costs £7.39 and comes to 327 kcal in a six inch, which buys the two leanest meats on the menu in one sandwich. It carries more protein than either the Turkey Breast or the Ham alone while staying within thirty calories of them.
The two meats are layered together rather than blended: thin turkey and thin ham, overlapped so both turn up in every bite. Everything else follows the standard counter script, bread, optional cheese, the free salad rail and a sauce, and like all the lean subs it rewards a confident hand at the rail.
The taste is a genuine middle path rather than a compromise: the ham brings the savoury depth turkey lacks, the turkey stops the ham reading salty. Texture is soft and even, which is why a toasted crust or a crunchy salad load matters; the meats will not supply the contrast themselves.
It suits people who order by protein, and anyone who stands at the counter torn between the two cheapest meat subs. This is the sandwich that question invented. The catch is mild: it costs more than either parent sub, so you are paying for the combination rather than more food.
On the Sandwiches menu, the honest comparison is upward as much as sideways. For the same money the Chicken Breast carries even more protein in a similarly lean package, and the Classic B.M.T. offers a much louder sandwich at the same price. The Turkey & Ham wins on lean-and-balanced, not on excitement.
The value maths favours it once protein enters the equation: cheapest route to a two meat sandwich, and one of the better protein per pound figures on the cold side. As a daily default it is hard to argue with, which is roughly its personality too.

It starts at £7.39 for a six inch, a step above the single meat Turkey Breast and Ham it combines.
327 kcal for a six inch on the standard build, which keeps it among the lightest meat options despite carrying two meats.
Sliced turkey breast and cooked ham, layered together. Both are the lean cuts used in their single meat subs.
Yes, it beats both of its parent subs on protein while staying light. The chicken subs go higher still, at the same or higher price.
Wheat in the bread, milk in added cheese, and processed meats commonly carry soya. Check the Subway allergen guide for your exact build.
